UFC 271 bonuses: Jared Cannonier, Tai Tuivasa earn Performance of the Night honors

Four bonus points were given at UFC 271,, and the main card fighters Tai Tuivasa (and Jared Cannonier) were huge winners.

Cannonier and Tuivasa both won “Performance of the Night”, bonuses that earned them $50,000, extra for winning on the ESPN+ pay per view at Toyota Center, Houston.

Tuivasa delivered the big upset win of the main card when he stopped Derrick Lewis in the second round of the co-main event. This was Tuivasa’s fourth UFC performance bonus.

Cannonier, in turn, received his fifth UFC bonus to knock out Derek Brunson. He called UFC President Dana White to ask for his next title shot. White, however, apparently agreed.

In the final pair of bonuses, Douglas Silva de Andrade and Sergey Morozov picked up the “Fight of the Night” honor for their back-and-forth scrap on the prelims of the evening. It was Andrade’s third UFC bonus and the first for Morozov.
