Tyson Fury names two dates for Joshua fight

British WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) is not satisfied with the date of the fight proposed by compatriot Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs).

Recall that just now Fury unexpectedly challenged Joshua, offering to fight until the end of the year. Anthony, who suffered a second defeat in a row from Oleksandr Usyk on August 20, accepted the offer no less unexpectedly. Now it’s up to the promoters.

Meanwhile, Joshua has indicated that he would like to face Fury on December 17th. But Tyson wants to do it sooner.

“November 26 at Wembley and December 3 at the Millennium (in Cardiff), only these dates are free. After 11 or 12 weeks. If a professional athlete who trains throughout the year cannot get in shape in three months, then this is a problem, ”Fury said in an interview.

At the same time, Tyson claims that the hitch is only in the date, since Joshua and Co. allegedly agreed with the proposed 40% of the prize fund.

Earlier, the defending champion’s promoter Frank Warren announced an official offer to Joshua’s team, which should arrive today.
