British WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) can’t wait to decide on the near future. And in general with the future in boxing.
After the victory of Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) in a rematch with Anthony Joshua, talks immediately began about the fight between Usyk and Fury for the absolute championship. Tyson’s promoter Frank Warren claims that there will be a duel, and is talking with might and main on the topics of the division of the prize fund and the venue of the megafight.
However, Fury himself wants specifics. So, the day before, he said that he gives all promoters and other interested parties exactly a week and will wait for proposals acceptable to him for the fight with Usyk until September 1. If until then nothing that would suit the British appears, he promises to hang up the gloves on a nail completely and irrevocably.
“For anyone who wants to do this fight, I am giving you all 7 days until September 1st to come with the money. If not, thank you very much, it was cool, I left, ”said Tyson. And he added specifics: “All proposals must be sent to my lawyer Robert Davis in writing with proof of funds. Let the games begin. Boom!”
It is worth noting that earlier the WBC ordered the Briton to decide on the future before August 27, and also in writing. But something tells us that the organization will “forget” about their order for now.
Recall that earlier Fury announced the amount he wants to receive for the fight with the Ukrainian. He also remembered the “sucker” Usyk and snarled Joshua.
By the way, the Usyk-Fury fight already has a preliminary date.
