British WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury expressed hope that his compatriots and colleagues in the category Dillian Whyte (28-3, 19 KOs) and Daniel Dubois (18-1, 17 KOs) would agree on a fight.
Recall that on June 12 in the United States, Dubois took away the secondary WBA World title from Trevor Bryan, having dealt with the underdog in several rounds. At the same time, White unsuccessfully tried to cope with Fury on April 23 and was knocked out in the 6th round.
Shortly thereafter, Daniel’s promoter Frank Warren announced his readiness to organize a fight against White for the ward.
“If I were in the place of Dillian Whyte, I would be happy to accept this fight,” Fury said. “You lost to the best fighter that ever lived. You must redeem yourself. And what better way to do it than against a young world champion in a fight that everyone will be watching. It’s a really cool fight and I definitely expect both Dillian and Daniel to take it. It will be great for UK boxing and I will definitely be one of the people who will pay to see it on PPV.”
At the same time, Tyson urged the public not to write off Dillian after their last fight:
“To tell you the truth, Dillian Whyte is very experienced. When he was in the ring with me, I made him look like a clumsy guy who couldn’t fight. But don’t underestimate Dillian Whyte. When two huge dinosaurs like them cross, someone will be knocked out. It’s an exciting fight.”
Recently it became known that White agreed to once again go against Parker.
