Tyson Fury has responded to criticism of his fitness

Reigning WBC heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury doesn’t think his ten-round bout with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou will turn out to be a long fight.

“He won’t last long because he’s too well built,” the Brit told Sundae Conversation. “He’s got too much muscle and he looks too good. When I touched him, he was hard as a rock and I know he won’t win because he has too good a figure.”

‘The Gypsy King’ didn’t show his best physicality in his recent look fight with the Cameroonian, but the British boxer has long been used to the fact that his appearance often misleads opponents and fans.

“You know, a lot of fighters want to look like bodybuilders, look trim and fit. I’m bald, fat, white man, and without a top I look disgusting. And when I knock out a nicely-packed opponent with dice on his stomach, everyone’s like, ‘What the hell, man!? What just happened!?”

As a reminder, the boxing match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou will take place on October 28 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
