The organization of the women’s bout, which will take place within the lightweight division, was announced by the head of the UFC, Dana White.
After winning the PFL grand prix in 2019 and 2021, Kayla Harrison failed to win a third PFL lightweight championship belt in 2022, sensationally losing in her final fight by unanimous decision to Larissa Pacheco. Harrison had one fight last year, defeating Aspen Ladd by unanimous decision in the final tournament of the season.
Holly Holm last stepped into the octagon last July, losing by guillotine choke in the second round to Maira Bueno Silva, however, the result of the fight was later overturned as the Brazilian failed a doping test.
