“Two different sizes.” Lomachenko about Usyk-Fury fight

Former world champion in the featherweight (up to 57.2 kg) and second featherweight (up to 59 kg) divisions, as well as the former unified lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs) in
interview expressed his opinion to an American blogger about the upcoming fight for the title of absolute champion of the heavyweight division (over 90.7 kg) between the owner of three titles Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) and the WBC champion Briton Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KO).

The boxer, who was also closed to the Ukrainian media, conveyed a message to his fans.

Usyk vs Fury. I tell everyone that I think Usyk will win. How do you think? I hope the fight goes on.

Usyk against whom?

– Against Tyson Fury. It won’t be easy, but Usyk will win.

– Of course, it is not easy. We need to wait for this fight. It will be very difficult for both. Of course, I am for my friend Alexander. But I don’t know how the fight will go. Because they are two different sizes. In addition, Tyson Fury is also very smart. And its size is its advantage. Depends on what strategy Usyk chooses and how he prepares for this fight. Because for this fight he needs to be very, very strong physically.

— Your message to your fans, those who love and support you. What will you tell them?

— I will say a big thank you to those who support me during my boxing career, during my amateur career. This is very, very important to us. And keep watching.

Recently, Fury’s promoter shared his PPV expectations for the fight with Usyk – they are cosmic.
