Tszyu may soon become the absolute champion. Seems to agree with Charlo

It seems that in the next fight, American undisputed world welterweight champion Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) will still meet WBO mandatory challenger Tim Tszyu (21-0, 15 KOs) from Australia. This was announced on ESPN Knockout by the president of this organization, Paco Valcarcel.

“We were told that they have an agreement and they are looking for a date because big fights are coming, and this one is one of them,” the head of the WBO said during celebrations at the International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota (USA).

boxing scene confirmed that Charlo and Tszyu reached an agreement, which avoided promotional bidding.

Arum – about Tszyu

Thus, Charlo will hold the first title defense as a division absolute, and Tszyu will take part in his first title title. Other details are not reported.

At the beginning of the summer, Tszyu warned Charlo that this was his “Zab Judah moment.”

It is interesting that one ex-champion has the opinion that it is not Tszyu who threatens Charlo’s dominance at all.
