Tszyu is too simple for me – Tony Harrison

Former world champion in the first middleweight (up to 69.9 kg) American Tony Harrison (29-3-1, 21 KOs), who on March 12 in Australia will have to fight against local star Tim Tszyu (21-0, 15 KOs) for the vacant WBO interim title, sees it as a repeat of his previous fight against Sergio Garcia.

Tony, who confidently defeated Garcia on points last April, does not consider Tszyu a great master, even calls him “too simple”.

“To tell you the truth, Tim is a very strong fighter, but for me he is very simple,” says Harrison. “He’s like one of those guys that I see in my neighborhood, he’s like someone I fight with in the park. In short, nothing special. His defense cannot be called impeccable, just as he is not perfect in attack either. Just a very strong opponent – no more. My last fight was the same guy, and I think with my height, my IQ and skill, this will be a repeat of my fight against Sergio Garcia.

“God does not give power to everyone, and besides power, he (Tszyu) has nothing that I would not have. I foresee how I will surpass him both in skill and will, and at the same time I will have a lot of fun. To be honest, I don’t see too many options for how he can beat me, ”summed up Tony.

Harrison also explained why he accepted the fight with Tszyu.
