Top lightweight prospect Davis takes on hardened African

Top lightweight prospect (up to 61.2 kg) “Businessman” Kishon Davis (7-0, 5 KOs) will hold the first 10-round fight in 2023 on April 8 in Newark, New Jersey, USA, sources said
ESPN.

His opponents are ex-challenger Emmanuel Tagoe (32-2, 15 KOs) from Ghana.

The 23-year-old Olympic silver medalist fought three times in 2022. In December, he scored early against former challenger Juan Carlos Burgos.

As for the 34-year-old Tagoe, the African is recovering from a decision loss to top lightweight Ryan Garcia in April.

In this division, there is only one champion – the absolute Devin Haney. Perhaps on May 20 he will face Vasily Lomachenko.
