When the star content maker, who is seriously fond of profiboxing Jake Paul (5-0, 4 KOs) decided to choose American heavyweight Hasim Rahman Jr. and specialists.
According to one of Paul’s coaches, former cruiserweight and heavyweight fighter BJ Flores, at first representatives of the Athletic Commission spoke out against such a fight.
But, judging by the fact that the fight was nevertheless announced officially for August 6 in New York, the problem was resolved.
“The New York State Athletic Commission was against this fight,” says Flores. – They said that Rahman is too experienced (for Paul). Rahman has over 100 amateur fights and 13 pro fights plus he’s used to fighting the big guys. He grew up in boxing and has been doing it since he was young.”
Flores is not embarrassed that Rahman will enter the ring after an early defeat (TKO 5) in the last fight against James Morrison. Here’s what he thinks about it:
“Rahman beat the unbeaten heavyweight 20-0, beat him all 4 rounds before the fight was stopped. 40-36 was on all judges’ cards. This is a dangerous fight (for Paul).”
Recently it turned out that the boxing legend of England is not against the fight with Paul: “I would beat him, take the money and go home.”
