Tony Ferguson has made a statement about his future career

UFC fan favorite, Tony Ferguson, who has suffered six straight defeats, has spoken about the actions he has taken to get his career back on a successful track.

“I haven’t had a good sparring session since the Barboza and Thomson fights and have only been in the cage when I go out to fight,” the 39-year-old American wrote on social media. “Since the pandemic, all this de***ing didn’t seem fun anymore and I was more preoccupied with taking care of others rather than myself. It took a lot of effort to feel happy again.”

“At this point, I shut myself off from everyone and everything that brings me harm. I have organized everything around me so that I don’t make the same mistakes again. No, I’m not resigning and let those who think I should go to hell. I have a job and I’m a pissed off b**ch.”

Late last month, Tony Ferguson suffered his sixth consecutive defeat when he lost by arm-triangle choke in the third round to fellow countryman Bobby Green, after which he accused his opponent of deliberately poking him in the eye with his finger in the opening five minutes to turn the tide of the fight.

“El Cucuy” last won in June 2019, defeating Donald Cerrone by technical knockout, who was kept out of the third round by a doctor due to a closed eye.
