Tom Aspinall and Alex Pereira have moved up in the UFC rankings

UFC 295 co-main event participants Tom Aspinall and Alex Pereira, who scored early victories last weekend at the famed Madison Square Garden Arena in New York City, have improved their positions in the organization’s official rankings.

The Briton, who knocked out Russian Sergey Pavlovich at 69 seconds and won the interim UFC heavyweight championship belt, took the top spot in the division and also entered the rankings of the organization’s top fighters regardless of weight class, where he ranked fourteenth.

The Brazilian, who finished Jiri Prochazka by second-round technical knockout in a fight for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title, moved to the championship position in the division rankings, and moved up five spots on the UFC’s P4P list, rounding out the top five fighters in the league.

Meanwhile, Sergey Pavlovic dropped from second to third in the heavyweight rankings, while Jiri Prochazka moved to second in the flyweight division and also lost two spots in the UFC’s P4P rankings, dropping to the bottom of the top 15.

The leader of the ranking of the organization’s best fighters regardless of weight remains Russian Islam Makhachev, who holds the UFC lightweight title.
