Tim Tszyu is now officially an e-Charlo challenger: they were given 20 days

The undisputed champion of the first middleweight (up to 69.9 kg) Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) has now officially received an order from the World Boxing Organization to defend his title against mandatory challenger Tim Tszyu (21-0, 15 KOs). In addition to the WBO title, the American also has WBA, WBC and IBF belts.

The parties have 20 days (until June 20) to agree on a deal, after which, in case of unsuccessful negotiations, promotional bidding for the right to organize a fight will be announced.

Recall that Tim has already told why he will score Jermell, and he generally got nasty to the reporter: “Fuck you and your Tim Kazu.”

In the last fight, 27-year-old Tszyu barely defeated 34-year-old Terrell Goshe, and was also knocked down.

“Kamon, let’s fight!” Tim Tszyu take Charlo weakly

If Jermell, 32, chooses not to defend Tim, the WBO title will remain vacant, and Tszyu will play it against the next available contender, likely 33-year-old ex-champ Liam Smith. In early May, he beat “Congressman” Vargas in a bloody makhach.

In addition to Tszyu, Charlo has two more mandatory defenses on hand: against Sebastian Fundora (WBA) and Bakhram Murtazaliev (WBC).
