Not so long ago, a 91-year-old promoter advised Krasyuk to shut up, commenting on Alexander’s interview for the American media. Both functionaries are currently negotiating a fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion between the unified champion from Ukraine Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) and the WBC title holder Briton Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs).

– What does he mean? Why are you so angry with the old man?
– They stepped on grandfather’s toes. He meant that you need to shut up and stop negotiating, negotiating through the media. On the eve of my trip to London, I tried to prepare my negotiating positions. I gave an interview to American journalists with my vision of what, in my opinion, is a fair condition for organizing this fight. It’s “fifty-fifty”. And it is quite likely, I admit, I cannot confirm this, but I admit that Tyson Fury looks at this case in exactly the same way. But since we are not communicating through Tyson Fury, but through his promoters who want to twist their arms and squeeze some of their benefits out of this case, it is quite possible that there is some difference between the information that is voiced in the media and that information , which Tyson Fury receives from his promoters. And this discrepancy can create discomfort to the point that they call to shut up. As if please, no more need through the press, let’s quietly agree in the room under the table like this. In fact, I respect Bob Arum. By the way, Frank Warren commented exactly the same on the same day in slightly different words. This is the “old school” generation of promoters. They are used to working in a certain way. We treat this with respect, but we do not work in the old way, we work in a new way.
Our task, first of all, my specific task, as Usyk’s promoter, is that he is my client. I am obliged to create the best conditions for Oleksandr Usyk. First of all, fair, then – the best. If fair and the best, then I am satisfied with my work. If not, then I will continue to work, to achieve such conditions that they are fair for both Usyk and Ukrainian fans. Well, I really liked the comment under Bob Arum’s video, where they say that this is the man who said in the press a week ago that he was sure that the lion’s share of the income should go to Tyson Fury – 60 to 40. Now he says that 50 to 50 , please, in the press it is not necessary to agree. The same person who told the boxer, such a famous heavyweight Bruno, that yesterday I was lying, and today I am telling the truth [смеётся]. In fact, it is a great pleasure to deal with such mastodons, I would say, professional boxing mastodons. The British, the Americans, the very best of the promotional world, it is now assembled into one. I won’t say it’s easy. On the contrary, it’s not easy at all. But it’s a great experience, and the truth is definitely on our side. We will win. Regarding the promotional story, we will definitely win, we will defend our interests. But I don’t think Usyk will have a big problem beating Tyson Fury.
