They didn’t surprise me. Alvarez-Golovkin trilogy venue announced

Everyone already guessed everything, but still.

Yesterday, Eddie Hearn’s promotional company Matchroom Boxing officially announced the venue for the third fight between undisputed super middleweight champion Mexican Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) and WBA/IBF middleweight title holder Gennady “GGG” Golovkin from Kazakhstan ( 42-1-1, 37 KOs).

The meeting place remained unchanged – the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA). Two previous fights of boxers also took place there.

Recall that in September 2017, Alvarez and Golovkin could not determine the winner – their 12-round confrontation ended in a controversial draw.

The revenge took place a year later and again went through the entire 36-minute distance. This time, the judges, not without difficulty – by a majority of votes – but everything was determined as the winner by Canelo.

This year, both boxers have already managed to hold one fight each. On April 9 in Japan, Golovkin defeated Ryota Murata in a unification bout with a 9th round stoppage.

Alvarez failed to take the WBA light heavyweight title from Russian Dmitry Bivol on May 8, losing on points.
