The wildest fight in the history of women’s boxing: Serrano and Cruz set a number of records

At the weekend in Las Vegas (USA), the legendary Puerto Rican Amanda Serrano (44-2-1, 30 KOs) snatched the minimum victory in the wildest slugfest from the Mexican
Erica Cruz (15-2, 3 KOs) and for the first time in her career (and also for the first time in the history of Puerto Rican boxing) she became the absolute world champion – she has all the belts in featherweight.

According to the data Compubox, several records in women’s boxing were immediately recorded in this mahach. And it’s almost impossible to beat them:

  • – record for the number of thrown punches – 968 (Cruz);
  • – a record for the number of thrown punches for two – 1917.

Serrano’s tally of 949 thrown is second in history. And this fight is the second in history in terms of the number of accurate hits for two – 459.

These numbers are actually just unrealistic considering the fight only lasted 20 minutes – 10 rounds of 2 minutes each.

Immediately after the announcement of the winner, a super revenge was announced: the absolute against the absolute – Taylor vs Serrano 2 is now official, which is actually not very nice in relation to Cruz.

In the first fight (April 2022, New York, USA), Taylor celebrated not the most obvious victory.
