The bout, which has been given the status of the event’s second-biggest event, was officially announced by UFC head honcho Dana White.
The heavyweight fight will be a rematch – in July 2022, Apinall suffered his only defeat in the UFC, having suffered a severe knee injury in the 15th second of the match.
Returning a year later after a lengthy rehab, Aspinall finished Marcin Tybura by first-round technical knockout, and last November he stepped in for an interim title fight against Sergey Pavlovic at short notice, knocking out the Russian in 69 seconds.
“Razor” also had two fights in that time, losing by technical knockout to Sergey Pavlovich in the fourth minute of the match, and knocking out Jailton Almeida in the second round.
As a reminder, the main event of the numbered British event will be a welterweight title fight between Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad.
