The UFC 296 tournament has lost another fight

Twenty-four hours after the fight between Vicente Luque and Ian Machado Garry was canceled, this weekend’s UFC 296 event in Las Vegas has lost another fight.

Officials from the organization have officially confirmed the elimination from the card of the welterweight bout between Muslim Salikhov and Randy Brown, which was supposed to open the numbered show. The reason for canceling the match was the indisposition of the Jamaican representative.

39-year-old Musilim Salikhov was the only Russian representative at the event, with which the world’s strongest league will close the current year. The day before, the Russian announced that he had signed a new contract with the organization.

Recall that the tournament UFC 296 will be held on December 16 in Las Vegas, and its main event will be a welterweight title fight between British Leon Edwards and American Colby Covington.
