Memorial Hall, Kansas City, USA. Within the show “Pedigree of Greatness 2” from Thriller Fight Club The sons of ex-world champions performed:
Heavyweight (over 90.7 kg)
James Mackenzie Morrison (20-1-2, 18 KOs), the son of ex-world champion Tommy Morrison, sensationally lost to an age-old compatriot
Robert Simms (12-3-1, 3 KOs).
The fight did not start the way the favorite had hoped. The veteran turned out to be a very slippery boxer. The favorite had to let go of that in the long run and try to break it with pressure. It didn’t turn out very well – he was breathing heavily, he missed a lot, he almost ended up on the floor.
As part of the show, after each round, the judges’ scores were read out. After the 6th three-minute period, the underdog was ahead – three times 58-56. But the worst thing for the favorite is that he looked very tired.
It smacks of an upset – the penultimate round is also an underdog. Morrison needs a knockout – Sims is simply better at boxing.
No options. There is an upset – fat Sims won with a score (three times) 78-74.
Sims UD 8.
