The reaction of the President of the UFC on the last fight of Fedor Emelianenko

UFC President Dana White commented on the resignation of Fedor Emelianenko, who lost a first-round TKO to reigning Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader at Bellator 290 in Inglewood, and announced his retirement.

“The guy is 46 years old and he shouldn’t have fought, but he’s a grown man and can do what he wants,” the head of the organization said at a press conference in Las Vegas. “Probably should have finished a few years ago”

White remains convinced that the legendary Russian heavyweight is not the greatest fighter of all time, having never tested himself in the UFC.

“I have no animosity towards Fedor, it just didn’t happen. But we tried, and now we cannot reproach ourselves with the fact that this did not happen. I don’t want to sling mud at him, today he retired, but you heard my old interviews, and you know what I think about this. He was knocked out by middleweight Dan Henderson – you know what that means. He never tested himself in the UFC and I’ve never been one of the guys who think he’s the greatest fighter of all time.”
