“Ready to kill!” the Brazilian wrote on social media, posting a photo showing that he was only partly speaking figuratively.
The Nigerian also made it clear that he was extremely serious.
“We don’t keep score in this game, we settle scores!” wrote Adesanya, posting an unofficial trailer for the fight.
Last November at UFC 281 in New York, Alex Pereira took the championship belt from Israel Adesanya, finishing him by TKO in the final five-minute period, and the Nigerian entered the fifth round, winning the fight on the cards of all judges with a score of 39-37.
Prior to this, Pereira twice defeated Adesanya in kickboxing, once by a deaf knockout.
