Former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson, who will face British prospect Paddy Pimblett on Dec. 16 at UFC 296 in Las Vegas, will enter the upcoming fight as the biggest underdog of his career.
Currently, the odds on Pimblett winning are 1.263 (79.17% probability), while Ferguson’s success is rated at odds of 4 (25.00% probability).
Bookmakers released the starting odds shortly after UFC CEO, Dana White, officially announced the upcoming fight.
Paddy Pimblett, 28, is riding a four-fight win streak in the UFC, winning a unanimous decision over American Jared Gordon in his last fight.
Tony Ferguson, 39, suffered his sixth straight defeat in July, losing by arm-triangle choke in the third round to fellow countryman Bobby Green. The American’s last win came in June 2019, defeating Donald Cerrone by technical knockout, who was kept out of the third round by a doctor due to a closed eye.
Recall that the main event of UFC 296 will be a welterweight title fight between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington.
