The contender for the title Beterbiev was injured – the “warm-up” was disrupted

The ex-world super middleweight champion and the current official contender for the WBC light heavyweight title (up to 79.4 kg) Briton Callum Smith (29-1, 21 KOs) will not be able to enter the ring on March 11 and meet with the Pole Pav Stepin (18 -0-1, 12 KOs) in a fight that was supposed to head the boxing evening in Liverpool (England).

Today it became known that Smith was injured and forced to withdraw from the fight, in which he planned to “warm up” before the fight with the unified division champion from Canada Artur Beterbiev.

Despite the disruption of the main event, a boxing evening broadcast on
DAZN will still take place. The new main event will be American super middleweight prospect Diego Pacheco (17-0, 14 KOs) vs Brit Jack Cullen (21-3-1, 9 KOs). The boxers will contest the vacant WBO International title.

Just the day before, Callum Smith spoke about Beterbiev, Bivol, Stepin and others.
