“Ken Cross, Mitch Ramirez and Brandon Jenkins have been cut from the cast to make room for Conor’s three guys to be on the show,” prominent manager Daniel Rubinstein wrote on the social media site.
The Irishman immediately denied this information, but later deleted his message.
“It is not true. I only know one guy on the show and he got there himself. I didn’t ask anyone for anything, and of course I didn’t kick people out. I’m just trying to get back so fuck off!” McGregor wrote.
However, former UFC welterweight title contender Gilbert Burns made similar accusations against McGregor, saying that his teammate Loik Radjabov, representing Tajikistan, lost his place on the TV project for the same reason.
“This guy is my teammate!” wrote the Brazilian. “Loik Radjabov, two-time PFL lightweight finalist! He worked so hard and was ready to get a shot at the UFC, had already been to TUF in Vegas and everything was going well. But damn Conor came, brought his boys, and they kicked him out!”
Representatives of the UFC have not yet commented on this situation.
Recall that the second coaching chair on the TV project was taken by the former Bellator champion and ex-contender for the UFC lightweight title, Michael Chandler, who will become the next rival of Conor McGregor.
