Well-known trainer and boxing analyst Teddy Atlas shared his opinion about the upcoming fight between popular US content maker Jake Paul (6-0, 4 KOs) and British light heavyweight Tommy Fury (8-0, 4 KOs), which will take place on February 26 in Saudi Arabia.
Teddy believes that Paul chose Fury as a rival because he sees superiority over him. And Atlas is in solidarity with this train of thought.
“Obviously, Tommy has been a boxer longer. He’s from the Fury family and definitely has more experience. You could say that he has been in boxing most of his life. He knows how to look like a fighter. But I don’t know if he can fight like a fighter
noted Atlas on my youtube channel. In turn, Jake Paul learns to behave like a fighter. And I don’t know if Tommy already knows how to do it. Let me explain it in this context. Tommy Fury’s record is 8-0 with 4 knockouts. The combined record of all his rivals is 24 wins, 176 losses and 5 draws. Paul says that Tommy only fought taxi drivers. I would add that they were all bad taxi drivers. None of them were licensed.”
“Tommy is not a puncher,” Teddy continues. – He is not strong physically – Jake has an advantage here. I think that’s why he chose it. Jake is not stupid. I guess he figured he could take advantage of his physical superiority, and I also think he thinks he’s stronger psychologically. And he may be right. I would probably agree, from what I know. So I don’t care what anyone thinks. I’m betting on Jake Paul.”
Meanwhile, Fury threatens Paul, advises him to take care of an ambulance.
