Team Fury and Joshua are saying opposite things. So will there be a fight?

American co-promoter of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) Bob Arum questioned the desire of the team of former champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs) to agree to a fight in December, despite the fact that the boss Matchroom Boxing Eddie Hearn insists negotiations continue.

As Arum said
Sky Sports“I really don’t think Joshua’s people want to fight right now since he suffered a crushing defeat [от Александра Усика]and I think he will need a couple of passers to get back in line.

“And Hearn just talks for the press and TV,” Bob added. “If Joshua really wants to fight, then Eddie knows that the Warrens and I are available. I’ve been in boxing for a long time, and it would be strange to me if Eddie and Joshua really wanted a fight like this now. It does not make sense. If I’m wrong and they want a fight, they know where to find us and how to get through and stop talking to the press and talk to us.”

Fury reveals how many rounds it will take Joshua to take out

In turn, promoter Joshua told Sky Sports: “I’m not entirely sure what Bob Arum was talking about, but I had several phone calls with George Warren and an exchange of emails. The last one was about a couple of minutes ago. AJ just finished his fight with Usyk. He’s got a couple bumps and bruises, nothing serious. Queensberry has set a date for December 17th which is our preferred date for the fight. We are continuing negotiations with Queensberry.”

Meanwhile, Fury has been bombarding Joshua with rollerblades, teasing and bullying all day today.

Tyson says that the fight will be either November 26 or December 3, but not December 17.

Earlier, Joshua allegedly agreed with the proposed 40% of the prize fund of such a fight, and Warren announced an official offer to Joshua’s team, which should arrive today.
