May 20 in Dublin (Ireland) will be nothing. In a sense, the long-awaited in narrow circles return fight of the absolute world champions – local Kathy Taylor (22-0, 6 KOs) from the lightweight division and Amanda Serrano (44-2-1, 30 KOs) from the featherweight division – will not take place. The Puerto Rican was injured, Matchroom Boxing organizers said.
“We regret to inform you that the Taylor-Serrano II fight will not take place on the scheduled date. The teams are discussing a new date. Further details will follow in due course,” the company said in a statement.
What kind of injury, when it was received and how difficult it is, is not disclosed.
It remains to be seen whether Taylor will box with a replacement in May or wait for Serrano.

At the end of April 2022, in New York, the girls played the absolute in lightweight: Taylor, thin, by a separate decision of the judges, defeated a formidable opponent in a bright fight.
After that, Katy made a successful defense in October: she outboxed Karen Carbajal.
Serrano has managed to speak twice since then: in September, Sarah Mahfud, and in early February 2023, in the same way, Erica Cruz.
