Stevenson will make his debut defense of two titles against the Olympic champion

Unified Super Featherweight Champion and Silver Medalist OI-2016 American Shakur Stevenson (18-0, 9 KOs) will defend his WBC and WBO belts on September 23 in his native Newark (New Jersey). Opponent – ex-challenger and champion OI-2016 Brazilian Robson Conceisau (17-1, 8 KOs).

The challenger is ranked 2nd in the WBC/WBO rankings. In September last year, he almost took the WBC belt from the Mexican Oscar Valdez, lost to a thin one.

On the OI-2016 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Stevenson and Conceição performed in different weight categories, both reached the final. The American lost to two-time Cuban champion Robeysi Ramirez, and the Brazilian defeated
