Sterling shared his expectations for O’Malley and Vera’s fight

Former UFC flyweight titleholder, Aljamain Sterling, shared his opinion on the upcoming title fight between current division champion, Sean O’Malley, and challenger for his belt, Marlon Vera.

“O’Malley has more skill, one hundred percent,” Sterling said in another video posted on his Youtube channel. “But I think there are some things like toughness, grit, endurance that people overlook, but Cheeto has all of that.”

“The only thing that bothers me is the rumors that Marlon didn’t have a good camp and enough sparring partners. I don’t know how true that is. With that being said, I’m leaning towards O’Malley winning, but I don’t think early. Maybe by split decision.”

“I think this will be a repeat of the Ngannou-Lewis and Namayunas-Esparza 2 fights. Chito just has to make the fight boring. You can’t be aggressive and exciting in a fight against a guy like O’Malley because he’s too good at what he does.”

As a reminder, the title fight between Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera will be the main event of UFC 299, which takes place on March 9 in Miami.
