Spence vs Crawford. Forecast from a former champion who beat Terence

On the sidelines, there are still rumors that the absolute welterweight champion will be determined in October – undefeated American pound fighters Errol Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) and Terence Crawford (38-0, 29 KOs) will meet in a head-to-head fight.

Allegedly, there is already even a contract that Crawford will not sign anyway – he insists on the inclusion of a clause on immediate revenge in the document. However, top insiders have not yet commented on or confirmed these rumors.

The former conqueror of two divisions, American Danny Garcia knows firsthand both tops – he fought with Spence in professionals, and crossed paths with Crawford in amateurs.

“With Terence, we have a draw in personal meetings – 1: 1, –
Garcia says. “Although I felt that in both cases I was stronger. What do I think of their face-to-face fight? This is a great fight. But I have said before that Spence has a slightly better chance, because he is simply bigger, stronger. He throws a huge amount of punches and is physically stronger.”

“Crawford is just more talented in my opinion,” Garcia says. He’s just more technical. It will be interesting to see Spence take on another southpaw. Spence’s superiority isn’t just that he’s bigger. He has a great jab, he’s left-handed. But he’s never had Crawford’s techies before. I remember that Terence is actually right-handed, but most of the time he still boxing in the left-handed stance. I won’t be surprised if the victory goes to just one of them who will feel better on the day of the battle. Who will be more confident in their abilities. After all, they are both mentally strong and technically savvy. Let’s see who is more eager for this victory.”

The ex-champion believes that the fight will also be an excellent test for the holder: “Definitely! Spence is strong, more powerful. But Crawford’s punches are shorter. Errol usually throws more punches. And Crawford is more calculated in his actions if he catches his rhythm. It all depends on who will be able to impose their style. If Spence starts pushing Crawford from the starting gong, then I believe that he will win. If Crawford finds his rhythm, then the victory may well go to him.

Earlier it became known that Danny Garcia is returning in a new weight: in the rivals of the ex-challenger Crawford. Just the other day, promoter Eddie Hearn (Matchroom Boxing) stated that the Golovkin-Canelo fight is 10 times bigger than Crawford-Spence.
