The unified champion and leader of the welterweight American Errol Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) again got into a serious accident – the incident occurred on Saturday in Dallas (USA).
This time, the star fighter is not the culprit of the incident – his car was rammed by an underage teenager who slipped through a red light at an intersection.
According to the champion, everything went off without serious consequences. But it is possible that the comeback will still have to be postponed – the fighter complained about a leg injury, posted a video: “This motherfucker just crashed into me. Fucked up my leg. Fuck!
According to media reports, the culprit of the incident is a 14-year-old teenager who, without asking, took a car from his parents, as he wanted to ride.
In Spence’s words, “P**yuk was lucky I didn’t have my kids. My car? Fuck her.”
Interestingly, on the same day, Spence’s antagonist WBO champion in the same weight Terence Crawford beat Russian David Avanesyan in a voluntary defense.
Crawford reacted to the news of the accident: “I hope everything goes well with Errol. I wish him only the best. I believe that this will not affect his health in any way – neither physically nor mentally. Boxing is just a sport. We are rivals in the ring, we both want to be #1, but nothing more. We don’t have any enmity. It’s not personal.”
Goodwill gesture. Crawford – Avanesyan – knockout – Rreporting on this event
This is not the first accident involving the champion. In October 2019, Spence crashed a Ferrari and is in intensive care: he was thrown out of a car – photo.
