IBF/WBO/WBA world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk looks “dangerous” in camp as he prepares for his August 20 rematch against Anthony Joshua. Told about it
Sky Sports Aamir Ali, heavyweight prospect manager
Nursultan Amanzholov (4-0, 3 KOs).
The 29-year-old Kazakhstani sparred with Usyk before his first fight with Joshua and was again called up to the team by a boxer from Ukraine.
“He [Аманжолов] says that there are days when Usyk goes to “fall” with him. Nursultan is not easy to slap, but he was beaten several times [Усик]. Nursultan says Usyk is in great shape,” the prospect’s agent said.
“He said that as soon as Usyk returned from Jeddah, from a press conference, on the same day he called Nursultan and said: “I want to spar today,” the manager said. – Literally got off the plane and immediately began sparring, and [Аманжолов] said that he was in a bad mood, he was in a very angry mood, he wanted to start a fight. Joshua is in trouble.”
Fury predicted Usyk-Joshua rematch
Kazakh was a seasoned amateur before turning pro, but sparring with Usyk pushed the boundaries, Ali says.
“He sent heavyweights home all the time. Nursultan was one of the few that Usyk kept throughout the camp, because he did not let go. There were moments when Usyk said to Nursultan: “No, I need you to push harder.” Like, don’t hold back, come on, go cut yourself, ”Aamir emphasized.
Amanzholov has not had a single opponent with a positive win/loss balance in his three years as a pro.
The veteran analyst is convinced that Usyk will win again. Meanwhile, another veteran is targeting the winner of the Usyk-Joshua 2 fight, threatening to sue: this is the Scandinavian Nightmare.
