Former European champion (1990-1992) welterweight
Pat Barrett from England believes that in the rematch of heavyweights Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) “anything can happen”. He said this in a comment.
BoxingSocial.
In the first, in the early fall of 2021, Joshua was declassed and almost beaten down at the end of the fight. The revenge will take place in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) in the summer, but when exactly is still unknown.
“There can be any outcome of the fight,” repeated the ex-boxer, now a coach. “If Joshua doesn’t lose his head, stays focused and does what he promises to do, then I think he has the power, strength and size to win.”
“But Usyk is a very smart boxer who already beat Joshua once, so, you know, I don’t know. [каким будет результат реванша] I can’t predict,” Barrett said honestly.

Answering a question about Joshua’s new tandem with coach Robert Garcia, the ex-WBO world title contender said that “there is not much difference” and “it’s not about getting the best coach in the world, but about the mood of a fighter.”
“He has to be able to adapt… So I’m not one of those who will say, ‘oh, this coach will change him,’ because, no, he won’t,” Barrett replied.
Wilder’s coach has far less doubts about the outcome than he does and thinks Usyk will stop Joshua in a rematch.
