Shakur Stevenson: “I’m better than Canelo, better than Tank, better than everyone!”

The unified WBC and WBO world champion in the second featherweight (up to 59 kg) American Shakur Stevenson (18-0, 9 KOs) is still objectively far from leadership in the ranking of the best boxers of our time, regardless of the pound-for-pound category.

However, this does not prevent him from already considering himself better than anyone else in boxing.

“I feel like a skilled fighter, –
He speaks Shakur. – Tank (Davis) is also skilled, but his fights always turn out to be competitive until he hits his plop. He is a tough fighter, but I am confident in myself. I just feel like I’m better than any fighter in boxing. You ask me about Canelo and I will tell you that I am better than him, or that I am more skilled than him. That’s what I am. And my faith in what I say is absolute. I feel like the best in this sport. And I know what I’m capable of.”

On April 30, Stevenson confidently won the unification against the previously unbeaten Mexican Oscar Valdez. Shakur’s next fight is scheduled for September 23 against Brazilian Olympic champion Robson Conceição.

Previously, Stevenson spoke about a possible fight with Gervonta Davis.
