Sergei Derevyanchenko: “I always fight for Ukraine”

The age middleweight and repeated contender for the championship belt Ukrainian Sergey Derevyanchenko (13-4, 10 KOs) will return to the ring at the end of July and will fight Joshua Conley (17-3-1, 11 KOs) from the USA. The fight will take place in Brooklyn (New York USA) as an opening act for the Americans Danny Garcia and Jose Benavidez.

The veteran of the ring has three defeats in a row. He understands that he needs a bloody nose to win. Preferably early.

“I want to come back even stronger than I was before,”
Ukrainian says. And I’m ready to show it in practice. I always fight for Ukraine. Every time I enter the ring, I represent my country. I like boxing Barclays Center. Huge arena, great fans. Therefore, I look forward to returning to the ring. I still want to fight, and my body agrees with me in this. I don’t ask for more.”

The Ukrainian promises that he will perform better than in the previous fight: “On the night of the fight, everyone will see what I worked on, what I improved. My opponent is boxing because of the jab, moving a lot. He’s not the type to throw a lot of punches, but I have to be ready for his counterattacks. The goal remains the same – I want to fight for the title. I would like to box with Jaime Munguia, because we would have a cool fight. In general, there are many strong boxers in the division. With any of them is ready to face off. I want to fight the top opposition and get back in the title race.”

Last month, the Ukrainian shared his opinion about the third fight between Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez, and also spoke about the strongest blow and the most difficult fight.
