The former world champion in featherweight and second featherweight, who recently declared himself a lightweight (up to 61.2 kg), American Shakur Stevenson (19-0, 9 KOs) does not despair that the Mexican Isaac Cruz, with whom the qualifying fight was scheduled in the WBC doesn’t want to fight him.
Just now, Shakur said that he would not mind boxing, for example, with ex-champion from Australia George Cambosos or spectacular Mexican grunt William Cepeda (27-0, 24 KOs).
“Due to the fact that Cepeda brings down people, he was like such a scarecrow. Well, let’s see what all the hype is about,” Stevenson wrote on social media, purposefully tagging DAZN Boxing and ESPN.
Cepeda, who this year has already beaten two ex-world champions – Rene Alvarado and Joseph Diaz – promptly responded to the American’s challenge.
“You don’t need to talk in vain, mentioning me. Just send me a contract indicating when and where we will dance with you. And I’ll be there,” William urged.
