Sean Strickland and Valentina Shevchenko will settle the conflict by shooting.

The conflict between Sean Strickland and Valentina Shevchenko, which was caused by the American’s offensive remarks about women’s mixed martial arts, will be settled with the help of firearms.

The former UFC flyweight titleholder and the current UFC middleweight champion agreed on social media.

Strickland: “Valentina, you lost to a girl who prefers to lay on her back and you look like you learned your striking from Youtube. Women’s MMA, it’s funny as hell. It’s like watching kids fight – it’s fun, but we all know it’s garbage. You only have a job because you know when to put your heels on and take your clothes off.”

Shevchenko: “You look like a guy who got beat up by a girl in the gym and now he’s resentful of all the women in the world. Poor kid! Train harder so you don’t lose to girls”

Strickland: “Just did ten rounds – fought to the death. It was great – the demons were gone and the voices in my head were silent, giving me peace and tranquility. Valentina, you’re right – you have a great head kick. Next time you’re in Vegas, let’s shoot. Have a good day.”

Shevchenko: “I’m glad you recognized your mistake”.

Shevchenko: “Of course I’ll beat him in the shoot, there’s no doubt about that. I’ll even beat him in the cage if he goes down to 125 pounds.”

Strickland: “After I do you, will you concede your nickname to me? There’s no way you can beat me.”

In September of this year, Sean Strickland scored a sensational victory over Israel Adesanya, defeating the Nigerian by unanimous decision to become the new division champion. The American will make his first title defense on January 20 at UFC 297 in Toronto against second-ranked South African Dricus Du Plessis.

Valentina Shevchenko lost the UFC flyweight title to Alexa Grasso by rear-naked choke in the fourth round in March, and in September, “Bullet” made a failed attempt to regain the championship belt by drawing a rematch with the Mexican.
