Sean O’Malley: “Peiva is one of my toughest opponents, but when I bring power punches, I knock people out”

UFC bantamweight fighter Sean O’Malley commented on the victory over Raulin Peiva.

“He’s one of the toughest guys I’ve fought, but when I get those power punches, I knock people out. At camp I had a rib injury, couldn’t grapple, couldn’t spar, just jogging and pad work. With a 99 percent chance, I should have withdrawn from the fight, but I knew how many people would come here, so I could not withdraw.

Before the fight, Tim and I reviewed a lot of Canelo’s highlights, and I imagined how I would pin the opponent at the net and pour these series of punches», O’Malley said in an octagon interview after the fight.

O’Malley knocked out Peiva in the first round at UFC 269 in Las Vegas.
