Sean O’Malley has pledged to fight against Umar Nurmagomedov

Reigning UFC lightweight champion, Sean O’Malley, has reacted to current UFC lightweight titleholder, Islam Makhachev, who said that his friend and teammate, Umar Nurmagomedov, will beat the American.

“I will knock the monobrow off Umar,” O’Malley responded on social media.

It should be noted that the day before, the American fighter initiated an exchange of barbs with the Russian, writing that Makhachev would be defeated if he tried to take away the UFC welterweight championship belt from Leon Edwards, who had successfully defended his title against Colby Covington a week earlier.

As for Sean O’Malley, he will make his title defense against Marlon Vera on March 9 at UFC 299 in Miami, while Umar Nurmagomedov, ranked fourteenth in the lightweight division, plans to return to the octagon on February 17 at UFC 298 in Anaheim, but has yet to find an opponent.
