Russian referee Kiselev will continue to cooperate with the UFC, despite the scandalous refereeing

Russian referee Vyacheslav Kiselev will continue to cooperate with the UFC, despite the scandalous refereeing at the UFC 267 tournament.

At the UFC 267 tournament, which took place on October 30 in Abu Dhabi, the league representatives removed Kiselev from work after the fight between welterweights Eliseu Zaleski dos Santos and Benoit Saint-Denis.

Dos Santos shook Saint-Denis several times in a row, but Kiselev let the fight continue. Immediately after the fight, the work of the referee was harshly criticized by UFC President Dana White and commentator Daniel Cormier. And the famous referee John McCarthy expressed the hope that the Russian would never again serve MMA fights.

“According to the contract with the UFC, I do not have the right to comment on what happened. The only thing I can say is that I continue to cooperate with the league, ”Kiselev told reporters.

In the main event of the RCC Intro 18 tournament, which took place on November 20 in Yekaterinburg, Kiselev officiated the fight between Mikhail Ragozin and Viscardi Andrade. Ragozin won by knockout in the first round.
