Russian heavyweight loses disqualification debut fight in Bellator

Russian heavyweight Sergei Bilostenny made an unsuccessful debut under the Bellator banner, losing by disqualification to American Tyrell Fortune at the Bellator 294 tournament in Honolulu.

Referee Chris West stopped the fight at 3:26 of the first round after he warned the Russian several times that he was inflicting illegal blows on the back of the head, but did not get an appropriate reaction from him.

In the main event of the event, reigning Bellator flyweight champion Liz Carmouche successfully defended her title by finishing with a fourth-round hand triangle choke to DeAnna Bennett. The championship belt was at stake only for Carmouche, as Bennett failed to cope with the weight race.

Among other results, we note the successful performance of the Russian Sharaf Davlatmurodov, who won the first victory under the banner of the organization, winning by unanimous decision against the American Anthony Adams.
