Ruiz: I want Wilder, I won’t retire until I’m WBC champion

Former unified heavyweight champion American Andy Ruiz Jr. (34-2, 22 KOs) will break another long streak of no fights in September – he will fight in the WBC eliminator with two-time contender for this belt, age-old Cuban Luis Ortiz (42-2-1, 41 KOs) ).

The ex-champion does not hide further plans and tells what caused such a long downtime: “See for yourself. Now I already have a name. The talent was there before. You just need to work hard in training, not ramble and stay disciplined. I didn’t want to agree to any tricks. That’s the reason I waited. That’s the reason I fight Ortiz – he’s a hard hitting dude with an awkward style who’s only lost in title fights to Deontay Wilder.”

“I do not hide the fact that I underestimated my previous opponent Chris Arreola. But that won’t happen with Ortiz. And then I want to go to the fight with Wilder, if he still decides to resume his career. The question is, does he need it? According to the last interview, I realized that not very much – he earns outside the ring too. But I don’t intend to blame him. He earned this right through hard work and dedication. He achieved a lot, for many years he was the WBC champion. If he wants to enjoy life outside of boxing, that’s his right. You know, we all plow hard in boxing just so that later we don’t have to plow hard through life. ”

“Yes, I, too, have already provided for myself financially and could start boxing. I build houses, earn on it every month. But I still haven’t fully realized myself in the ring. I want to win the WBC belt. So he told his son: “I will not retire until I become the WBC champion.” Even if I lose again on the way to the title, this will not stop me. I want to be champion again. I want to be a big shot with a WBC title. Step by step, I will achieve my goal,” promises Ruiz.

The other day, Andy told when Ryan Garcia really shines, and he also bared his ass so that you can better see his tattoo: 18+ video. Back in June, the undercard of the Ruiz-Ortiz show was unveiled. And he’s a little wild for PPV.
