Former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt (12-3) in November 2020 could have a chance to become UFC flyweight champion, but a biceps injury prevented him from fighting Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC 255. Garbrandt last fought in June last of the year at UFC 250, with a brutal knockout in the second round of Rafael Assuncao.
