Restless Nonito Donaire announces new grandiose plans in boxing

Despite a crushing defeat in a rematch with Naoya Inoue and almost 40 years of age, the famous Filipino ex-champion in several categories Nonito Donaire (42-7, 28 KOs) is not going to hang up his gloves on a nail. Moreover, he plans to return to the second flyweight (up to 52.2 kg), where he performed for the last time … in 2010.

According to the veteran, he is interested in fighting with the current tops of the division – ex-pound leader from Nicaragua Roman Gonzalez (51-3, 41 KOs) and WBO title holder Japanese Kazuto Yoka (29-2, 15 KOs).

“The Gonzalez fight is really, really good and people say it would be legend against legend. Big fight,” Nonito noted. “But I would also like to meet Yoka, because he wants to win the title and become the champion in five categories. And after that, return to 53.5 kg and fight for the absolute championship, if there is such an opportunity.

Donaire assured that it would not be difficult for him to drive the weight to 52.2 kg.

Will we believe?

A few days ago, the Filipino told how he could not restrain himself in a rematch with Inoue.
