Last night in Carson (USA), the American Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) and the Argentinean Brian Castaño (17-1-2, 12 KOs) took revenge for the title of absolute champion of the first middleweight (up to 69.9 kg) .
Unlike their first fight in July last year, when a tense fight went the entire 12-round distance and ended in a draw, this time the help of the judges was not required – Charlo knocked Castaño out in the 10th round.
As can be seen from the judges’ card at the time the fight was stopped, after nine rounds, Jermell confidently led the case to victory, leading with a score of 87-84, 88-83 and even 89-82.
