PPV price of Usyk-Fury fight will be higher than usual – promoter

The cost of pay-per-view of the upcoming fight for the title of absolute heavyweight champion between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) and Briton Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) according to the PPV system will be higher than usual. In any case, if we are talking about the UK, and Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, is already talking about this.

Note that at the moment the cost of watching a boxing fight that falls under the definition of “big” on Sky Sports Box Office or BT Sports is 27.95 pounds. Such, for example, was the price tag for the last fight of Fury against Derek Chisora.

But due to the exceptional significance of the Usyk-Fury duel, its PPV price is guaranteed to be higher.

“It depends on the structure of the deal,” Warren said. – If the TV broadcaster gives any guarantees, then he wants to get back his investments, on which the price will depend. If there are no guarantees and it’s done on a share basis, then again, that determines what the price will be. With four belts on the line, without even discussing it with anyone, yes, I’m sure the price will go up. Just like if Tyson fought Anthony Joshua, the price would go up. Those are two big money fights.”

The other day it became known that Usyk and Fury agreed on everything: the details were announced by Bob Arum.
