Jalisco, Mexico. In the main event of the evening, local ex-world champion Carlos Cuadras (40-5-1, 27 KOs) warmed up on his fellow journeyman
Lamberto Maciase (16-9-1, 12 KOs).
Cuadras looked vague, but the margin of safety was enough to defeat the hopeless journiman. The ex-champion boxed with the first number, but failed to delay (or at least knock down) his opponent.
The score of the judges: 97-93 and twice 99-91.

Magna Centre, Rotherham, UK. In the main event, the vacant title of champion of England (according to VVVOS) in lightweight (up to 61.2 kg) was played out: a native of Afghanistan, prospect
Hamed Gaz (18-1, 4 KOs) lost to the former holder of the same belt, but two divisions lower
Risu Mold (17-1, 6 KOs).
The fight was spectacular and uncompromising. Mold pressed hard on the favorite. Already at the start, Gaz picked up blows and was on the verge of early surrender. He found strength in himself and tried to seize the initiative in the 3rd round.
Approximately to the equator, the fight leveled off, but the final rounds again went to the underdog’s piggy bank – he even hit the favorite. The judges did a good job – unanimously gave the victory to Mold – 97-94 and twice 96-94.
