In the main event of the tournament, last season’s PFL Women’s Lightweight Champion Larissa Pacheco took the first step towards her new weight class title by defeating former Bellator titleholder Julia Budd in three rounds.
In the second most important fight, Bruno Cappelozza, who became the champion of the PFL in 2021, chalked up the first six points, finishing last season finalist Matheus Scheffil by technical knockout in the first round.
Among other results, we note the successful performances of the Russians Rizvan Kuniev and Marina Mokhnatkina. Kuniev earned three points by winning a unanimous decision over the Brazilian Henan Ferreira, and Mokhnatkina in the second round destroyed the Japanese Yoko Higashi in the stalls and took second place in the Grand Prix summary table with five points.
Early victories were won by Maurice Green, Amber Liebrock, as well as American lightweight Biaggio Ali Walsh, who finished his compatriot Isaiah Figueroa in an amateur fight by technical knockout in the first round.
