Petr Yan characterized Merab Dvalishvili: “Offended by life”

Former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan disapproves of his rival Merab Dvalishvili’s attempts to politically taint their confrontation.

“Well, who will like it when he runs after you like a dog, asks for attention,” the Russian said in an interview with UFC Russia. “No one will like it. He raises some national topics, Russia-Georgia is just an offended kid in life, and that’s it.

“He needs attention. If he fought with dignity, interestingly, he wouldn’t have to run around and ask everyone for attention to himself. He understands that he is not interesting, that his fights are not interesting, and he is trying to somehow attract attention to himself. But when he is without a camera, he is different, when he connects his cameras, he is again all in the fuss.

Recall that the fight in the bantamweight division between Peter Yan and Merab Dvalishvili will headline the UFC Fight Night 221 tournament in Las Vegas this weekend.
